Our First Gallery Show!
Artworks by Evin Bryson and Paul Shank
First, let me apologize for the gap between newsletters—I’ve been busy! With the grand opening, official ribbon cutting, and building out inventory has kept me away from writing, but that’s not a bad thing. The store is really starting to take shape. Thank you to everyone who have stopped by and supported us.
Now, on to the Art News… Don’t Miss Our First Gallery Show!
We’re excited to invite you this Saturday (6/27) from 5–8 PM for our very first featured artist reception, showcasing Evin Bryson and Paul Shank!
Both artists focus on the human figure, but with different approaches. Evin Bryson’s oil paintings center on realistic portraits capturing light, shadow and expression with a strong sense of presence. Her work invites you to stop and examine the details of human features. She also creates whimsical gouache paintings of nature scenes, again capturing fleeting moments of light and atmosphere.
Paul Shank, working in graphite and charcoal, also builds from realism, but his work pushes into the fantasy realm. His figures emphasize movement and form, creating dynamic compositions that feel almost in motion. His use of stark contrast—deep blacks layered into soft gradients—heightens the sense of energy and action within each piece.
Together, their work creates a compelling contrast—stillness and motion, observation and interpretation—while remaining rooted in a shared dedication to the human figure.
Join us for an evening of art, conversation, and community. You’ll have a chance to meet both artists, explore their work up close, and enjoy light snacks and refreshments.
