Dance Macabre Artist Reception

Join us Friday, August 14, from 5–8 PM at River’s Edge Art Supplies & Studios, 812 Castle Street, for an opening reception celebrating the work of Angela Fernot and Bri Mellott.

This collaborative show is a love letter to the dance of life, death, and all the choices in between. Step into a world of fantasy, mystery, and the beautifully strange as these two Wilmington artists explore the macabre, the magical, and the wonderfully weird.

Angela Fernot’s mixed-media work searches for light within darkness, embracing unusual subjects, layered storytelling, and the parts of ourselves that are often left unexplored. Bri Mellott’s photography, painting, and inkwork reckon with mortality, ecological devastation, and the unseen forces shaping our world—where forests may disappear, moons are summoned, and the cycle of life and death keeps turning.

Together, their work invites us to pause, look closer, and find beauty, connection, and mischief in the unknown.

Come meet the artists, ask questions, gain insight into the work, and connect with fellow art lovers in our community. Light refreshments will be provided.
